Remembrance Sunday 2018 marked 100 years since the end of World War One, and Paramount led security operations for Liverpool’s Civic Service of Remembrance, as it has done since 2005. The service, which took place at the city’s main Cenotaph in front of St George’s Hall, drew a crowd of over 15,000 people and events included a two-minute silence; a march past by armed forces personnel; and a wreath laying ceremony.
Thank you to all for your ideas, patience and assistance in helping to deliver this year’s Service of Remembrance. The service, year on year, is always delivered to an extremely high standard. It’s only with the support of yourselves, working together as a team, that we are able to maintain that standard.
Taking place in one of the city’s main thoroughfares, Lime Street, Paramount was responsible for offering guidance to members of the public regarding site and event information; implementing and maintaining road closures where needed; providing support to Merseyside Police as required; and, monitoring crowd density and crowd situation in order to maintain the highest levels of safety.
